Owens to offer basic motorcycle safety training classes March - October

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH (PRESS RELEASE) – Area motorcycle enthusiasts interested in enhancing their knowledge about safe driving are invited to enroll in upcoming Motorcycle Safety Training classes offered through Owens Community College’s Workforce and Community Services. The classes will occur from March through October.

The College’s Motorcycle Safety Training is the only basic motorcycle-rider course offered in Wood County and is one of only 22 permanent training locations in Ohio. Owens’ motorcycle safety training is a three-day course, which occurs Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Initial classes will take place Thursday through Sunday, March 29 – April 1.

American Legion Post #320 to offer boater safety classes March 17 & April 21

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – Ohio law requires anyone born after 1982 to complete a boater safety course. American Legion Post #320 will offer two courses this spring to fulfill that requirement.

Cost of the course is $35, and classes run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Courses will be held March 17 and April 21.

Walleye Shuttle Service offers rides to home games

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Starting Saturday October 15th, the TARTA Walleye Shuttle will transport hockey fans from seven Park-N-Ride locations to the Huntington Center for all regular season home games.

The cost for the transport is $1 each way, which is payable upon boarding. TARTA Walleye Shuttle buses will leave one hour prior to scheduled home game times. The shuttle will leave 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
